Pinewood Derby This Sunday
Cub Scout Pack 570 will present their Pinewood Derby this Sunday at the Sonora Elks Lodge.
Jeff Lukomsky was Thursday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.
The general public is invited to watch the Pinewood Derby from 1 PM through 4 PM this Sunday March 19th. There will be food and drinks available and plenty of fun activities.
Boys ages seven through eleven and are in first grade through fifth grade are invited to come see what scouting is all about.
According to Lumkomsky, there is a decline in boys signing up for Scouts these days. There is also a lack of leaders. “The Boy Scouts provide programs for young people that build character and leaders,” said Lukomsky, ” Scouting is important because our Youth are the key to building a more conscientious, responsible and productive society.”
