Caltrans Warns Of Traffic Delays

Sonora, CA — Caltrans says that traffic delays can be expected along both Highway 120 and Highway 108 this week.

Tree removal work will be conducted on Highway 120 from Old Priest Grade to the Yosemite National Park entrance. Crews will be working in various areas this Monday through Thursday from 5:30am – 3pm and 10 minute traffic delays are anticipated.

Meanwhile, on Highway 108, Caltrans will perform one-way traffic control at various points.  Work will occur as follows:

-One-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound Highway 108 from Chief Fuller Road to Pinecrest Lake/Summit for tree work beginning Monday, August 29, 2016, through Thursday, September 1, 2016, from 6:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

-The #1 (left) lane on eastbound and westbound Highway 108 from Long Barn to Stoddard Springs Road for paving operations beginning Monday, August 29, 2016, through Friday, September 2, 2016, from 6:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.

-One-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound Highway 108 will close from Stoddard Springs Road to Donnell Rest Area for paving operations beginning Monday, August 29, 2016, through Friday, September 2, 2016, from 6:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.

-One-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound Highway 108 from Sandhouse/Pinecrest Dump Road to Herring Creek Road for drainage work beginning Monday, August 29, 2016, through Friday, September 2, 2016, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-10 minute delays.
