Another Generous Donation To SRMC Cancer Center

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA – Having already donated millions to the hospital, a Groveland man has literally brought home his desire to continue giving.

As previously reported last July at the centers ground breaking, George White pledged to give $3 million upon his death to benefit the Diana J. White Cancer Institute, named after his late wife. The center being built by Sonora Regional Medical Center is located off Greenley Road. SRMC has learned of an additional gift from White after his passing late last year – literally items from his home will be sold with the proceeds going to the center. The estate sale will be held at 19279 2nd Garrotte Road in Groveland on June 24 through  26, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

“We are awed by George’s generosity and inspired by his love and devotion to his wife Diana,” said Andrew Jahn, President and CEO of the Medical Center. “Their generous gift ensures that our community will continue to receive lifesaving treatment, close to home, for years to come.” Items to be sold include furniture and appliances including this list provided by SRMC:

  • Pepsi Cola and Elvis Presley Collectibles
  • Trucks, Vans, Boats and Trailers
  • Antique Wagons
  •  Tools
  • Outdoor Furniture
  • Lift Chair and Motorized Wheelchair
  • Many Miscellaneous Items
