Angels Camp Police Ready For Calaveras County Fair

It is all hands on deck for the Angels Camp Police Department during the Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee.

Angels Camp Police Chief Todd Fordahl was Thursday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.

A Frog Jump Youth Parade will take over downtown Angels Camp on Main Street beginning at 10 AM this morning. Angels Camp Police will assist with street closures and traffic detours.

The Calaveras County Fair then runs today through Sunday. While the Angels Camp police will not be working at the Fairgrounds, they will be monitoring the increased pedestrian and vehicle traffic within the city.

“Generally, we have few problems related directly with the Fair”, said Fordahl. “However, with the increased number of people in town this weekend, our officers will likely remain busy through Sunday night.”

The “Newsmaker of the Day” is heard each weekday morning on AM 1450 KVML at 6:47, 7:47 and 8:47am.
