Sacramento, CA - California Democratic Leaders target ten new gun bans. Senate Democratic Leader Darrell Steinberg has spearheaded the effort to pass tighter restrictions in light of recent national tragedies. Steinberg is introducing 10 bills. He wants to make sure loopholes are closed for semi-automatic weapons, and that all firearms are registered and recorded.

Steinberg says, "We register our cars, trucks and motorcycles. We require drivers to be licensed to show that they know the rules of the road. That they know how to drive safely; isn't it just common sense to take a similar approach when it comes to gun violence and gun ownership."

Among those supporting these stricter gun laws are the Mayors of San Francisco and Los Angeles.
