San Andreas, CA - Imagine coming home and finding a burglar in your home and on top of that he's naked because he's taken a dip in your hot tub. That's what happened Tuesday to a San Andreas home owner around 7:00 p.m. Calaveras Sheriff's deputies arrived on the 200 block of Pope Street in San Andreas and found the home owner holding another man down on the driveway. The man being held down had only a trench coat and socks on.
Deputies arrested 49 year old Robert Allan London of San Andreas for burglary. The home owner told the deputies he heard a noise in his kitchen and went to investigate. He found London rummaging through the kitchen cabinets. The homeowner yelled for his next door neighbor to call 911 as he chased London outside and tackled him to the driveway.
Deputies say London, a transient, admitted to going into the house and taking items like small tools, flashlight, keys, coins and batteries. He also told them he took a dip in the homeowner's sauna and this wasn't the first time. He admitted he used it other times as well because he thought the house was vacant.
London is charged with felony burglary, indecent exposure inside an occupied dwelling, and possession of stolen property.
