Bypass Progress Includes More Blasting Today

Bypass construction at Peacefull Oak / Standard and Existing HWY 108

Sonora, CA -- Caltrans crews will be blasting today near the construction site for the State Route 108 East Sonora Bypass Phase II Project. Blasting is scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m. and Caltrans anticipates being done around 5:30 p.m. Roads will not be closed for blasting and traffic should not be impacted.
Caltrans will continue to perform intermittent one-way traffic control at night from Cavalieri Road to Jenness Road for highway construction. The road work will continue through Friday, November 16, between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
A signed detour is in place and alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.
