Fire Near New Melones Lake

Tuolumne County, CA -- CAL Fire is on the scene of a five to eight acre fire near New Melones Lake in Tuolumne County off highway 49. The flames started on Stud Horse Flat Road just south of Stevenot Bridge.
CAL Fires says crews are battling the blaze from the ground and air with; a helicopter, Air-Attack and a tanker.
We will update you on the blaze as soon as we get more information.

Update 4pm: CAL Fire reports flames are 100 percent contained at five acres. They say no structures were in danger and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
