Groveland, CA -- The Graham Fire in Groveland is contained and 81 acres have burned. CAL Fire says "equipment use" sparked the blaze.

CAL Fire Spokesperson Lisa Williams says "Crews will continue to check for hot spots." She adds "With the Fire Weather Watch issued for this weekend by the National Weather Service they will be tracking the lightening and winds to make sure no embers or smoldering fires ignite."

The National Weather Service is projecting wind gusts from 25 to 35mph with downdrafts up to 55mph where the thunderstorms strike. Those storms are expected to hit as early as Friday night, but more likely Saturday afternoon into the evening in the Stanislaus National Forest.

Williams says the steep terrain caused the biggest problems for crews fighting the fire. She says six injuries were reported on the scene.

In total battling the blaze, there were 931 firefighters, 56 engines, 27 fire crews, 4 dozers, 6 helicopters, and 9 water tenders.

Cooperating agencies on scene include the Forest Service, CDCR, PG&E, Groveland Community Services District, Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office and Tuolumne County Fire.
