Woman Arrested for Firearm Assault

Copperopolis, CA - Calaveras Sheriff's officials say they returned a call to a victim who says he was recently assaulted with a firearm in the 6000 block of Ricky Road in Copperopolis.
A deputy spoke with Carl Towe who says he was in an argument with his wife, 56 year old, Eva Towe, of Copperopolis the day before about ongoing family issues. The Deputy say at that point Carl says he went outside the home with his adult granddaughter and his wife walked up behind him carrying a .22 caliber rifle. He told the deputy she pointed the rifle at his head accusing him of calling a family member about her behavior. Sheriff's Officials say Carl grabbed the rifle away and found it was unloaded. They say he hid the rifle and ran into the house with his granddaughter.
Later that day, Eva Towe was arrested and charged with Criminal Threats and Assault with a Deadly Weapon: Firearm.
