Smoke Near Highway 49?
Sonora, CA -- Many are curious about why there is heavy smoke between Sonora and Columbia today.
As reported earlier this week on myMotherLode.com, there is a fire exercise taking place at three dilapidated buildings near the O'Hara Drive turnoff. The exercise is being hosted by the Sonora Fire Department, and various other agencies are also taking part. The exercise started last night, and it is expected to wrap up later today.
