Stanislaus National Forest Fire Weather Watch
The National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Watch for the Stanislaus National Forest from Sunday evening through Monday evening.
The Stanislaus National Forest is located in Calaveras, Tuolumne and Mariposa Counties.
Winds of fifteen to thirty mph with gusts up to forty-five mph are expected. Over the higher ridges, winds of twenty to thirty-five mph with gusts up to sixty-five mph are expected.
Humidity recoveries will run twenty to thirty five percent on Sunday night before dropping into the single digits to low teens during the day on Monday.
The low humidities along with gusty winds and dry fuel, may bring critical fire weather conditions. Power lines and branches may blow down.
Throughout the Sierra Nevada, including Yosemite National Park, wind gusts of thirty to forty mph are likely on Monday and Monday night. Winds may gust up to sixty mph through canyons and over the higher ridges.
