A change in the weather pattern will affect the region on Wednesday and early Thursday.
According to the National Weather Service, breezy conditions and strong wind gusts should be expected in the Motherlode.
In the Sierra Nevada, there will be cool temperatures and strong winds.
There is the possibility of the first killing frost of the season. Depending on cloud cover, widespread frost is possible Friday morning and again Saturday morning.
