Vella Dies From Injuries
La Grange, CA -- A La Grange man has passed away from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident Sunday night.
56-year-old Steven Vella was riding a custom motorcycle along Carmelita Lane north of Buena Vista Drive when he lost control of the bike and slammed into a rock embankment. Vella was ejected from the motorcycle and landed in a nearby grass field. He was later medi-flighted to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.
CHP Officer Brad Schultz reports that Vella passed away at 2:24pm on Tuesday. Alcohol is considered a contributing factor to the accident.
