Flooding At The Bell Mooney Bridge

A Flood Watch has been issued for the Motherlode by the National Weather Service from Tuesday evening through late Thursday night.

Periods of moderate to heavy rain will lead to rapid rises on small rivers and streams. Smaller streams could overflow their banks.

Flooding of low-lying areas in both urban and rural locations should be expected. Rock, dirt and mud slides are also likely.

Additionally, a Winter Storm Watch has been issued for the Sierra Nevada from Tuesday evening through late Thursday night.

One foot to a foot and a half of snow accumulation is likely above 3000 through 4000 feet. Up to three feet of snow may fall above 7000 feet.

Wind gusts of over forty mph are possible.
