Sonora, CA -- It is your chance to be a hero.
Clarke Broadcasting is presenting "Heroes Day in the Foothills," a community-wide blood drive being held today at the Delta Blood Bank of Sonora.
Maxine Pickford of the Blood Bank says there is a definite need for blood during the summer months.
"A lot of our regular donors go on vacation and just get busy with outdoor activities so they are not able to donate regularly," says Pickford.
You can drop by the blood bank between 11am to 6pm today and donate blood.
The process to give blood takes around 45 minutes to an hour.
