Twain Harte Memorial Day Parade And Flag Raising

Twain Harte, CA -- There will be a few Memorial Day activities across the Mother Lode today.
A Memorial Day concert will begin at 6:30 tonight at Murphys Community Park. The Calaveras Community Band will perform under the direction on Bandmaster Mic Harper. There is no admission to the concert that honors the men and women that have served in the military.
This morning at 10:45 is a Memorial Day salute at the historic Columbia Cemetery. It will be a historical salute honoring the soldiers of the Mexican, Spanish American and Civil Wars. A historical black powder salute presented by the Grenadine Belles and the Columbia Foot Dragoons starts at 11am sharp.
At 11:30am will be the Twain Harte Parade and Flag Ceremony. The parade goes through downtown and is immediately followed by a flag ceremony at the arch.
