Forum Focused On Mental Health

Sonora, CA — A local political organization will hold an open forum this evening that will address mental health issues in rural counties.

Featured speakers will include Tuolumne County District Attorney Laura Krieg, District One Tuolumne County Supervisor Sherri Brennan, and Amador County Behavioral Health Advisory Board member Dr. Arnold Zeiderman.

The event is being hosted by the Tuolumne County Republican Central Committee. The group says the purpose is to start a public conversation about mental health related dysfunctions, which it feels are becoming increasingly visible in the community. The group cites substance abuse, homelessness, depression, PTSD and suicide.

The open-to-the-public forum starts at 6pm in the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors meeting room at 2 South Green Street in Sonora.
