Update: Big Rig Truck Rolls Over Near Tuttletown

Update at 10:50 am: Traffic is again moving freely on Highway 49 following the early morning big rig rollover crash. More details are below:

Update at 7 am : Caltrans has put in place a hard closure of Highway 49 between Poppy Hills and Springfield Road due to the rollover crash involving a big rig truck carrying bread in the Tuttletown area. The CHP reports that the hard closure is expected to last anywhere from one-and-a-half to three hours. Travelers will need to take an alternate route.

Original story posted at 6:19 am: Tuolumne County, CA — Clean-up is ongoing following a truck accident early this morning on Highway 49 near Fraguero Road, just outside of the Tuttletown area.

At around 3:30 am, a commercial truck, carrying a trailer, was located, overturned, just off the highway. The truck was filled with bread and was on its way to making a delivery. The CHP reports that no injuries were reported in the incident. Emergency officials are still working to clean up the crash, so travel with caution in the area.
