TUD GM Candidates Tapped For Water Knowledge

Sonora, CA — A special meeting next week will allow Tuolumne Utilities District board members to question the finalist for the general manager position.

As previously reported, in June the board hired interim general manager, Dave Andres, to fill the vacancy for the then retiring GM, Tom Scesa.  The board will hold a closed session meeting on Monday, August 24, at 8 a.m. at the district’s headquarters. TUD spokesperson Lisa Westbrook says, “We’ve had over 30 applicants…from all over the United States. Our board is currently in the process of reviewing the applicants and in the next phase of narrowing it down to the finalist.” Westbrook adds the board hopes to name the new GM in the next 30 days.

One added note, as reported Thursday, TUD is reminding customers that, although the board lowered the conservation measures to 25 percent from 30 percent last week, customers must continue to follow the outdoor watering schedules and restrictions. Those can be found in the earlier story by clicking here.
