Supervisors To Discuss Budget And Festival

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Supervisors will talk about the budget, and plans for the Strawberry Music Festival.

On Tuesday, the Supervisors will decide whether to pass a $153-million budget for the fiscal year that starts July 1st. It includes the addition of 13.5 full-time equivalent positions. Notably, 11 would be for the Probation Department due to the addition of the Juvenile Detention Facility and 2.5 for the Sheriff’s Department.

The budget will also be readdressed in August when better financial figures are known. Later in the meeting, the Board will hold a public hearing on whether to issue a special use permit so that the Fall Strawberry Music Festival can be held at the Westside property outside of Tuolumne City. Tuesday’s Meeting starts at 9am.
