Calaveras County, CA — A fire burning in Calaveras County is now 75% contained.

This morning CAL Fire downgraded the acreage estimate to 80. All evacuation advisories have been lifted. At one point yesterday, five homes were evacuated. One outbuilding was destroyed by the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. This morning there are 293 firefighters assigned to the incident, seven water tenders, 30 engines and three bulldozers.

The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office says to avoid Pool Station Road and Riata Way, if at all possible, due to the amount of fire equipment on scene.
