Crews Extinguishing Jamestown Fire

Jamestown, CA — Air resources battling a grass fire along Preston Lane have now returned to base.

Ground resources will remain on scene for the next several hours working to fully extinguish the 10-15 acre blaze. CAL Fire reports that no homes are considered in danger, but earlier the flames did come near several residential neighborhoods. Officials are stationed around the area of Preston Lane directing traffic. The cause remains under investigation.
