Two Netted In Sonora Drug Bust

Sonora, CA — A man and woman were arrested after an early Friday morning raid at a Sonora residence and one had seven arrest warrants pending against them.

The Tuolumne County Narcotics Team served a search warrant at a residence in the 20000 block of Lower Hillview Court in Sonora at 7 a.m. Friday.

A search of the premises turned up heroin, methamphetamine and prescription pills. Arrested at the scene were Gregory Meder, 36, and Ashley Leal, 29. Both were booked into the Tuolumne County Jail for possession of a narcotic controlled substance, possession of controlled substance, possession of controlled substance paraphernalia and keeping a place to sell controlled substance.

Tuolumne County Sheriff’s officials reports Leal also had seven additional warrants for her arrest, among them conspiracy, petty theft, possession of a controlled substance, possession of controlled substance paraphernalia and giving false ID to a Peace Officer. Her bail is set at $142,500.

Meder also has prior arrests. As reported earlier here, he has been arrested twice for leading law enforcement on chases while drugs were being tossed out of vehicles, the most recent pursuit happened earlier this month.
