Calaveras Leaders Will Talk Butte Fire and AB-109

San Andreas, CA — Several items will face the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors when they meet later this morning.

The Board is scheduled to approve the 2015-16 AB-109 Community Corrections Partnership Implementation Plan. California’s AB-109 prison realignment program has resulted in fewer criminals going to prison, and more in county probation programs. The local plan up for review requires a 4/5 vote by the board. In addition, the Supervisors will hear updates on the Butte Fire recovery efforts from Board Chair Cliff Edson, and representatives from CAL OES, FEMA and various county department heads.

The Supervisors will also review the General Plan vision statement and make recommendations to Caltrans related to the Highway 4 Wagon Trail Realignment Project. Today’s meeting starts at 9am at the county government center in San Andreas.
