Poll Examines California’s Hot Button Issues

Sacramento, CA — A new poll finds that 52% of Californians approve of Governor Jerry Brown’s job performance, but only 47% like the way he’s handling the drought.

The results were published in a newly released Public Policy of Institute of California Poll. It also found that 60% feel California leaders should take more action in response to the drought. Also of note, 54% of likely voters now support marijuana legalization, and 67% feel that students should be required to receive vaccines before attending school.

In relation to the federal government, 58% of Californians approve of President Obama’s job performance, but only 27% have a favorable view of the U.S. Congress.
