Two Suffer Injuries In Head-On Collision Near Posse Grounds

Jamestown, Ca — Two individuals suffered injuries following a head-on collision Tuesday afternoon on Rawhide Rd. near the Posse Grounds.

According the CHP, 17-year-old Jacob Warrington of La Grange was traveling southbound at 4:44pm. Warrington was in a line of vehicles, and moved into the northbound lane in an attempt to make a pass. His car then collided with a vehicle driven by 49-year-old Mark Dyken of Angels Camp.

Both individuals were taken by ambulance to Sonora Regional Medical Center. Warrington, who reportedly suffered major injuries, was then transported to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. Dyken reportedly suffered moderate injuries. The CHP says alcohol was not a factor in this collision.
