Cold, Wet Weather To Inundate The Mother Lode

Sacramento, CA — According to the National Weather Service cold, wet weather is hitting the Mother Lode as we open the new week.

A cold low pressure system has moved into northern California and will linger off the coast through at least midweek. This will result in below normal temperatures and periods of showers for the interior. Overnight temperatures are expected to range from the single digits to teens in the mountains.

Scattered light showers will continue today with the heaviest showers mainly over the mountains. Snow levels in some areas will continue to fall and are expected to drop to the 1,000 to 1,500 foot level today.
