Full Containment Reached On Lake Fire

Hornitos, CA — A vegetation fire that burned 244 acres in Mariposa County is now 100-percent contained.

CAL Fire reports that the cause of the Lake Fire, near Lake McClure Road and the McSwain Entrance, is still under investigation. The fire ignited near the community of Hornitos. Shortly after it was first spotted on Monday, local resources from the CAL Fire Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit responded to assist.
