Update: Vegetation Fire Near Oakdale

Update at 1:25 p.m.: CAL Fire spokesperson Lindy Shoff reports that the fire was extinguished before firefighters arrived on scene at a 50 by 50 foot spot. She adds that the cause of the fire has yet to be determined and all incoming resources have been called off the scene.

Original post at 1:05 p.m.: Oakdale, CA — Columbia air and ground crews are responding to assist with a report of a vegetation in the Oakdale area of Stanislaus County. CAL Fire relays that the blaze is in the vicinity of the Woodward Reservoir possible in the Duck Cove area, off 26 Mile Road. We will update you with more information once crews arrive on the scene.
