Slide Damages Parrotts Ferry Road

Columbia, CA — Parrotts Ferry Road remains closed this morning approximately one mile from the Tuolumne-Calaveras County line.

County Road Superintendent Barry Bynum reports that the rocks and mud have been mostly cleared from the road. However, crews have learned that the slide damaged a portion of the road, and it will need to be repaired before it can be re-opened. Parrotts Ferry Road is now expected to be completely closed until around 11-11:30am. Motorists will need to find and alternate route.
