Jamestown Apartment Destroyed By Fire

Jamestown, CA– An early morning fire destroyed an apartment in Jamestown today.


According to Cal Fire, the fire at the 20200 block of Jamestown Road, started at 1:53 am and was controlled in about an hour. The fire caused $200,000 worth of damage to the building and $50,000 damage to the contents of the apartment.


Only one apartment was affected, but surrounding apartments did suffer minor smoke damage. Cal Fire says the fire was started by a cookstove. No injuries were reported.
