Copperopolis Celebrates Christmas

Copperopolis, CA — Christmas activities will be taking place at the Copperopolis Town Square.

Tonight is the annual “Tree Lighting” ceremony from 5-7pm. Then on Saturday from 11am-5pm is the “Old Fashioned Christmas Festival.” It is designed to provide a break from the Black Friday environment. During the festival kids will be able to take a ride in a horse-drawn carriage and meet Santa Claus. The musical group Diamond Duo will provide entertainment from the gazebo. There will also be complimentary hot chocolate and cookies.

Also in Calaveras County tonight, there will be a tree lighting ceremony in downtown Avery at 5:30pm.
