Update: Vegetation Fire In Sonora

Update at 11:45 p.m.: CAL Fire reports crews have contained a one acre vegetation fire along the eastbound lane of the Highway 108 Bypass across from the Sonora Ford near the Mono Way offramp. All incoming resources have been called off.  Crews on scene will continue mopping up for the next hour. What ignited the blaze is under investigation.

Original post at 10:45 a.m.: Sonora, CA — Firefighters are heading to a report of a vegetation fire in Sonora along the Highway 108 Bypass.

CAL Fire reports that it is in the vicinity of the eastbound lane of bypass across from the Sonora Ford near the Mono Way offramp. At this time there are no details on the fire’s size or rate of spread or whether any structures are threatened. We will bring you further details as soon as they come into the newsroom.
