Update: Search For Suspects Near Sierra Conservation Center

Update at 11:15am: A search is still underway for two suspects near the Sierra Conservation Center. The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office reports that a driver apparently crashed his vehicle into a sign after spotting a Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Lieutenant trying to pull him over for erratic driving and having an expired registration. There were three people inside the truck, two men, and a woman. The woman was captured, but the two men escaped on foot. Inside the truck, officials located items that had been stolen out of Calaveras County this morning. We’ll pass along more details as they become available.

Original story posted at 10am: Jamestown, CA — There is a noticeable law enforcement presence on O’Byrnes Ferry Road near the Sierra Conservation Center.

The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office reports that a vehicle was pulled over for a stop and the occupants ran away on foot. The incident is not related to the prison or any of its inmates. You may notice activity in the area. We’ll pass along more information when it becomes available.
