Update: Search For Missing Woman In Calaveras County

Update at 4:25  p.m.: Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office reports that Ione McKay has been located in Rail Road Flat. Medical personnel will access her before she returns home.

Update at 4:01  p.m.: As of 3:30 p.m. on May 6, search efforts for Ione McKay continue. Coordination is underway with the State Office of Emergency Services and allied agencies to secure additional search and rescue personnel from the region. The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office requests individuals in the Rail Road Flat area to inspect their immediate property and outbuildings as part of the ongoing search efforts.

Original post at 11:37 a.m.: Railroad Flat, CA — The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a woman who was last seen in the 400 block of Railroad Flat.

Limited details are available. The CCSO notes that Ione McKay left her house on foot shortly after nine o’clock this morning. She is 75 years old, 5 feet tall, 120 pounds, with black and white hair. She was last seen wearing a gray hat, white/blue checkered jacket, and blue jeans.

Sheriff’s deputies and the volunteer Search and Rescue Team are responding to the area.
