Tuolumne County Meetings On Fire Safety And Evacuation Preparedness

Sonora, CA — Various meetings are scheduled throughout March and April so that residents can learn more about fire safety and evacuation preparedness.

Karl Rodefer, District 5 Tuolumne County Supervisor, was Friday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.

According to Rodefer, “These special public meetings throughout Tuolumne County are a part of the greater county supervisors initiative to put fire safety and resiliency front and center throughout 2019.”

Community members are encouraged to attend, and the locations are spread throughout the county to make it as convenient as possible. The meetings are hosted by the Tuolumne County Supervisors, in partnership with CAL Fire/Tuolumne County Fire Department and the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office.

Upcoming meetings will be held at the Word of Life Fellowship Church, Soulsbyville Elementary School, Groveland Community Hall, Tuolumne County Supervisors meeting room and at Columbia College. The specific dates and times are listed below.

The “Newsmaker of the Day” is heard every weekday morning at 6:45, 7:45 and 8:45 on both AM 1450 and FM 102.7 KVML.
