Motorhome Crashed Into Pole

Twain Harte, CA — The power outage in the Soulsbyvile area this morning was caused by a man crashing a stolen motorhome into a power pole.


The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office confirms that deputies were engaged in a short pursuit that ended at around 3:58am. An unidentified man crashed the stolen vehicle into a pole near the intersection of Highway 108 and Oman Drive, near the west entrance to Twain Harte. He then took off running and could not be located.


The collision caused nearly 500 PG&E customers to go without power. No additional information is immediately available. Anyone with information about the incident should call the Sheriff’s Office at 533-5815.
