Columbia To Discuss JPA

The Columbia Fire Protection District will have a special meeting tonight to discuss whether to participate in the Joint Powers Agreement for fire protection.

Fire Chief Randy Nickley is encouraging the public to attend the meeting and give input. The meeting will begin at 5pm at the Fire House at 11328 Jackson Street. Tuolumne County has been requesting that the various fire agencies in the county come together and look at ways to streamline costs and services. Groveland, Tuolumne and Jamestown have already voted to join the JPA.
