Injuries From School Bus Accident

Copperopolis, CA — Three students sustained minor injuries when a vehicle struck a Mark Twain Elementary school bus yesterday afternoon.


The accident was at 3:15pm on O’byrnes Ferry Road at the Highway 4 intersection. The CHP reports that 57-year-old Wanda Corn of Angels Camp was stopped and let her foot slip off the brake when a bottle of water fell inside her vehicle. Her vehicle coasted forward and struck the bus.


Three students, all age 13 and from Copperopolis, were transported to Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital. No further information is available regarding the injuries, but they are listed as minor.
