Jogger Hit By Vehicle

A jogger who was running along Jamestown Road was killed in an accident this morning.

The CHP says it happened shortly after 6:30am, near the intersection of Mount Brow Road. CHP Officer Brad Schultz says the unidentified woman was hit by an oncoming vehicle. The name of the driver, and the jogger, has not yet been released by officials.

“The jogger was obeying all traffic laws, and according to witnesses, had some type of light that was activated,” says Officer Schultz. “For some reason the driver did not see the jogger, and this is all under investigation right now.”

The jogger was pronounced dead when first responders arrived on scene. We’ll pass along more information when it becomes available.
