Charities Invited To Grab For Cash

Tuolumne, CA– Local charities in Tuolumne and Calaveras County are invited to participate in Black Oak Casino’s 10th Annual Community Grab for Cash.

Each November 10 Tuolumne and Calaveras County charities and non-profits participate in the event. This year’s Grab for Cash will be held on successive Thursdays, Nov. 8th and 15th, 2012.

At the event a representative from each of the selected non-profit groups will get into the Casino’s cash cube and grab as much of $5,000 as they can in thirty seconds. Last year eleven participating organizations took home more than $20,800. That brings the 10-year total to more than $130,000.

“The Community Grab for Cash at Black Oak Casino is our way of kicking off the holiday season by giving back to the community,” said Ron Patel, Black Oak Casino General Manager. “It’s a fun opportunity for our local non-profit organizations to get some much needed financial support.”

Non-profit groups interested in applying for the Community Grab for Cash event may submit a one-page letter to Black Oak Casino that outlines the mission statement of the organization, its size, the community group being served, and the organization’s funding needs. The deadline for submissions is 5:00 p.m. October 19th. Applicants may call (209) 928-9310 for more information.
