Arnold Girl Identified

Arnold, CA — The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department has released the name of the 8-year-old girl who died Sunday when a tree fell into an Arnold home.

She is Hailey Verzani, a 3rd grade student that went to Hazel Fischer Elementary School in White Pines. She is the daughter of Lindsey Jacoby and Christopher Verzani. The 100 ft. tall tree reportedly crashed into the home in the 2700 block of Moran Road at 6:25am. Verzani was pronounced dead at the scene.
