Fire In Stanislaus National Forest

Tuolumne County, CA — There is a small vegetation fire burning in the Stanislaus National Forest near the Niagara Creek Campground.

No structures are considered in danger, and it is about 17 miles east of Pinecrest. Some CAL Fire air resources are assisting Forest Service fire officials. The fire is estimated to be about 1/2 acre in size.

Updated at 5:35pm: Officials are making good progress on the fire. The air tankers have been allowed to return back to base.
