Vegetation Fire In Sonora

Sonora, CA — Firefighters are on the scene of a vegetation fire on Highway 108.

Cal Fire reports grass is on fire on Highway 108 at the south Washington Street intersection. There is no word on size or whether any structures are threatened at this time. Traffic has been stopped on the highway so motorists will want to use caution in the area.

Update 10:45 a.m.: Cal Fire reports the flames have been contained at a 100′ x 100′ spot. No structures were threatened and traffic is moving freely again.
