Officials Slow Rancho Calaveras Fire

Valley Springs, CA — Crews have now stopped the forward spread of a vegetation fire in the Rancho Calaveras subdivision of Calaveras County.

CAL Fire reports that the 5-7 acre fire is in the 6000 block of Treosti Place. One structure has been destroyed, but thankfully there have been no reports of injuries. A couple of other structures were initially considered in danger. Officials will remain on scene for an extended period today for the mop-up operations. Expect activity in the Valley Springs region.
