Mountain Ranch, CA — There is a fire in Calaveras County. Fire fighters are on the scene of a vegetation fire on Vista Amorosa & Old Miners Way in Mountain Ranch. The Columbia Air Unit is in the skies. There is no word on the size at this time or whether any structures are in danger.

6:05pm: Cal fire reports a half acre of vegetation burned and the flames are contained. There was no threat to structures.
