Last Day Of Jumping Jubilee

Angels Camp, CA — Come to the Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee to see if one of them hops into the history books. The frog jump record is almost broken on Friday, day 2 of the Jump. Reigning world champion Laura Kitchell jumped a frog that went 21’1/2″ inches. The record set in 1986 is 21′ 5 3/4″. Kitchell has today to break that frog jumping record. The frog Jump finals, for the top 50 jumpers, begin at 3:00pm today. The Destruction Derby begins at 5:30pm.

The slogan for the 2013 Calaveras Fair is “Country Roots and Cowboy Boots.” Area Youth will be showing their animals including: 171 pigs, 124 goats, 122 rabbits, 80 sheep, 52 chickens, 36 cattle and 75 other animals (turkeys, dogs, llamas and cavies or guinea pigs).

There is plenty of fun for the whole family so hop on over. Click here for fair events and information.
