Traffic Alert In Tuolumne County

Tuolumne County, CA- Caltrans will close down one lane of Highway 120 for bridge work for the next six months. The construction will beginning at the Big Oak viaduct near Buck Meadows to the end of the viaduct before Forest Road.

Caltrans flaggers will begin directing traffic Wednesday, April 3 at 7:00 a.m. and continue until Friday, September 20, 2013.

Motorists can expect 5 minute delays. Caltrans ask motorists to take alternative routes whenever possible.

Caltrans says this work is part of the $3.4 million Highway 120 Tuolumne Bridge Deck Replacement Project which began in March 2013. They say crews will replace the bridge decks on the Tuolumne River Bridge and strengthen the existing structure. The project is scheduled to be completed by 2016.
