A Jump In Health Costs

Sacramento, CA — The Associated Press says a new report commissioned by California’s Health Care Exchange predicts the jump in costs. The Exchange says individuals who buy their own health plans will see the cost go up an average of 14 percent next year under the health care overhaul. The AP says the Covered California group attributes the increase to an influx of people who previously couldn’t afford health insurance or were denied coverage because of pre-existing conditions.
